IMPORTANT CCW RENEWAL UPDATE
Hi ,
Starting January 1, any CCW permit that has been expired for more than 90 days will no longer be eligible for renewal.
This is a major change. In the past, permits could be renewed even if they were expired for up to two years. That option is going away.
What this means for you:
- If your permit is already expired more than 90 days, you must:
- Complete a renewal course, and
- Submit your application before December 31, 2025
- If you do not renew by December 31:
- You will lose renewal eligibility
- You must start over as a new applicant
- This includes:
- Waiting for an Initial appointment
- Completing 16 hours of required training
Important:
Availability for full-day Private Renewal training is very limited. Once those spots are gone, there are no shortcuts.
If your permit is expired more than 90 days, this is your last chance to renew without starting over.
